WELCOME! The Massachusetts Coalition for Water Resources Stewardship (MCWRS) focuses on education, research and advocacy around water resources stewardship.

The lack of adequate funding for water resource infrastructure is of paramount concern to communities and utilities across the nation. The Coalition is working to identify ways to reduce the burden of water quality permitting on communities while protecting the environment and public health. We believe that successful, sustainable policies and regulations must be based on sound science and holistic, watershed-based permitting with all stakeholders (public and private) participating in the solutions. State and federal government agencies must be active participants in the solutions by providing more funding and improving communication with the regulated community.
